2002-1 Modern levellers and levelling steels with a high yield stress.

Cut-to -length lines are those in which a mother coil fron the Iron and Steel Industry is cut into flat blanks of a specific size. For these blanks to be of use to the end users they must be levelled with precision so that, when placed on a flat measuring table, there is not more than, for example, 1 mm os separation per metre on length. However, in practice, the blanks have numerous flatness defects that have to be corrected using special machines known as levellers.
