CHALLENGE

Manufacturers in the HVAC sector needed to increase productivity and precision in the production of structural profiles and metal guides—key elements for the proper performance of air-conditioning systems.

Using standalone presses or bending machines led to variations in length, tolerance, and alignment, as well as high tooling costs and long setup times with every model change.

SOLUTION

Fagor Arrasate developed a continuous roll-forming line starting from coil, capable of producing metal profiles with high precision and repeatability, adaptable to different lengths, thicknesses, and widths depending on the HVAC component type.

The system combines inline punching, progressive roll forming, and automatic cut-to-length, ensuring perfect profile formation and a surface free from deformation or burrs.

Thanks to electronic speed and position control, the line maintains minimal tolerances even at high production rates, and enables quick format changes without complex manual adjustments.

These profiles can be used directly as filter guides, air dampers, rails for condensate trays, or structural reinforcements in frames and casings—ensuring stiffness, stability, and precise integration into the final units.
