Coil processing lines are often characterised by a long service life, in many cases more than 40 years, if used and maintained correctly. However, over the past 40 years, progress in electrical and automation technology, developments that have led to greater efficiency, and more up-to-date environmental and safety regulations have motivated many users of older machines to invest in new coil processing equipment or to modernise their existing equipment.
