A NEW BLANKING LINE FOR CHINESE AUTOMOTIVE SECTOR

Chine automotive maker DONGFENG PSA has awarded FAGOR ARRASATE with a new order to supply a big press cutting line, so called blanking line. This line will be able to process exposed material aimed to make the outer parts of the car’s body, so the care of the surface must be specially good. The line will process high strength steel in coils of 2000 mm in width, up to 2.5 mm in thickness and weights of 30 ton. It will cut blanks of any shape up to 4 meters in length at a speed of 100 meters per minute. The press will have a capacity of 630 ton in force and the dimensions of the bolster will be 5200 x 2400 mm. The stroke will be 300 mm. It will have moving bolster to allow the quick change of the dies. It is forecasted that the changing time will be only 6 minutes. Additionally, the installation will include a swinging die to cut trapezoids in the blanking line.
