AN IMPORTANT ORDER FROM RENAULT

French car maker RENAULT  has awarded FAGOR ARRASATE with an important order to supply two cut-to-length lines with roto-oscillating shear. One of these lines will be installed in an European country while the other will be installed in an African country. FAGOR ARRASATE is nowadays top leader in the design and supply of cut-to-length lines with roto-oscillating shears to cut rectangles, trapezoids and many other parallelepiped shapes as well as parallel curved edge blanks. These installations developed by FAGOR have countless advantages comparing the classic lines working in start/stop mode. They don’t need a costly foundation, no pit is necessary and its speed can reach 180 parts per minute while a conventional line need a very expensive civil work and only can reach about 70 spm.

The new FAGOR lines supplied to RENAULT will work at 90 m/min and 180 spm in thickness of 2 mm and widths of 1830 mm. The coils can weigh 25 tons. The parts that will be manufactured (as said, of very different shapes) can reach 3800 mm in length

These installations have high precision levelers that can have quick change of cartridge, integral monitoring and computerized pre-setting as well as electromagnetic stackers able to run in start/stop mode to guarantee a high quality in the surface and the edges.

The FAGOR roto-oscillating shear is specially robust and heavy duty and is well know in the market for its accuracy and availability.
