DIRECTORS FROM VEHICLE MAKER FOTON PAY A VISIT TO FAGOR ARRASATE

Last week, a delegation of top managers from Foton paid a visit to our facilities to see, first hand, the project development of the new servo press tandem line that Fagor Arrasate is now designing and manufacturing for that Customer. This installation means a decisive step in the state of the art as it is conceived completely with servo presses allowing greater productivity, operational speed and efficiency. The line will include 5 servo presses with a total capacity of 6700 ton. Fagor Arrasate is also responsible in supplying the whole automation of the servo line with a new generation of robots of 12 motion axes.

During the visit we were glad to sign a new contract to manufacture another servo press of 2400 ton for trying-out the dies that will be used in the previously mentioned line. Both orders represent more than 30 million of euro. The machines will be commissioned during year 2014.

At present, Fagor Arrasate enjoys a significant success in the market due to its clear commitment with research and development. So, in the field of servo technology, it is worth to mention that Fagor Arrasate was the first European manufacturer in developing a big size servo press in year 2004 and, since then, a lot of decisive improvements and technological advances have been added to the machines, placing Fagor Arrasate in the leading position that has today.
