ECO-FRIENDLY PRESS OF FAGOR ARRASATE FOR VOLKSWAGEN

Volkswagen is committed with an ambitious programme named “Think blue” to implement significant developments in all its facilities by 2018 concerning eco-friendly manufacturing

Fagor Arrasate event: ECO-FRIENDLY PRESS OF FAGOR ARRASATE FOR VOLKSWAGEN

Last year, Fagor Arrasate commissioned a big robotized and synchronized press line with WAVELINE technology in the facility that Volkswagen has in South Africa. This revolutionary technology achieves a much faster production speed that can be about 30% greater than in a conventional press line. In the WAVELINE lines, the presses are not stopped in each cycle but are synchronized with the motion of the robots, therefore the continuous motion of the slides reminds a wave. The advantages of the synchronized WAVELINE lines are not only confined to this enormous productivity but, moreover, they save a lot of energy and this less consumption helps to have a much better caring of the environment.

WAVELINE Press Lines are much more environmentally friendly tan conventional ones

So it is explained in a Volkswagen bulletin  that, in the 2013 Winter issue, notices that the WAVELINE installation in the facility is a fundamental factor in the searching for a “blue” manufacturing, ecological and respectful with the environment. Volkswagen is committed with an ambitious programme named “Think blue” to implement significant developments in all its facilities by 2018 concerning eco-friendly manufacturing. Among other actions, the installation of the FAGOR WAVELINE Press Line has allowed Volkswagen to be honored with The Greenest Large Manufacturer Award from the Department of Economic Development, Environmental Affairs and Tourism and The Environmental Award from the Eastern Cape Chapter of the Exporters Club of southern Africa.

Fagor Arrasate always design its machines considering the energetic efficiency, the care of the environment and the better fulfillment of the everyday more strict standards about ambient respect.
