Both companies have made their German customers aware of the benefits of their jointly developed innovative range of standardized presses with automation.
With the new developments, Fagor Arrasate and Dreher Automation expand their Press2Perform portfolio of stamping solutions with a new range of standardized presses of 6,300 kN, 8,000 kN and 10,000 kN. The collaboration between both companies combines the knowledge of Fagor Arrasate on the world of the press with the capabilities of Dreher Automation, a leading company in automation solutions. The combination of technology and experience of both manufacturers will allow to offer their customers the most suitable and unified solutions for their needs in the medium sized presses segment. This alliance generates a new range of highly productive, reliable and competitive stamping solutions that enable a rapid return on investment. In addition, the standardization of the equipment will lead to delivery times tailored to the customer needs in this segment.
Fagor Arrasate and Dreher Automation had previously collaborated on high-level joint projects in Germany, Korea, China… with excellent results. Both companies share very similar visions and cultures that facilitate collaboration, which enables them to work as a single entity totally focused on obtaining excellent quality in the work and full customer satisfaction.
Within the new range presented at BlechExpo, the customer can choose their press configuration between conventional (eccentric/link-drive) or servo along with a number of options associated with control, die, peripherals, accessibility, etc… With regard to automation, the configurations also have great flexibility to be able to adjust the system to the specific needs of each client, always within the standard established for the 6,300 kN, 8,000 kN and 10,000 kN units.
The service was also presented as one of the great advantages since it will be offered from two locations in Germany (Hilpoltstein and Sulz at N.), with the experience of both manufacturers and supported by four axes of activity. The technical assistance at the customer's premises will allow support during the start-up of the equipment and also in maintenance tasks that the customer requires. Repairs and spare parts are also a fundamental element and, in this respect, response times are key for the customer. The training and consulting aspects have also been designed to support the new product range and the client will be able to obtain specific programs for their employees as well as advice on environmental issues or on improving their productivity. Finally, machinery upgrades will help improve existing equipment to improve its performance.
As far as Industry 4.0 is concerned, all teams will be prepared to connect under the strictest standards of security and confidentiality. Smart Connect is the application oriented to the maintenance of the presses through which its main parameters can be monitored and decisions can be made and the necessary maintenance can be programmed. The new range is also prepared to provide all the precise information regarding production parameters (times, references, etc.).
Fagor Arrasate and Dreher Automation are aware of the fragility of the environment and the need to protect it. For this reason, the entire Press2Perform range has been designed to optimize energy consumption and minimize CO2 emissions.
