FAGOR ARRASATE CONTINUES ITS GROWTH IN RUSSIA WITH A FULLY AUTOMATED CUT-TO-LENGTH LINE FOR SEVERSTAL

Fagor Arrasate event: FAGOR ARRASATE CONTINUES ITS GROWTH IN RUSSIA WITH A FULLY AUTOMATED CUT-TO-LENGTH LINE FOR SEVERSTAL

Fagor Arrasate, specialist in the design, manufacture and supply of cutting and forming lines, is going to supply a high-performance cut-to-length line (CTL) to the steel company Severstal, Russia’s main steel producer and one of the largest in the world.

The CTL is fully automated through the complete process of unwinding, leveling, cutting and electromagnetic stacking. It is equipped with the latest sensor technology for measuring flatness and surface quality. This is one of the most technologically advanced coil equipment installed in Russia due to its high levels of productivity and high-quality standards in surface finishing, leveling, cutting quality and unmarked stacking.

The line will process surface critical material. The CTL developed by Fagor Arrasate for Severstal will supply skin parts to the main OEMs and TIER1 of the automotive sector in Russia.

The line is capable of processing materials from 0.25 to 4.0 mm thickness, in high strength and advanced high strength materials. It has a rotary shear, which does not require a looping pit, and a cassette type leveler.

Fagor Arrasate has a strong presence in Russia, where it has a sales office and more than 40 references in finishing lines for processing metal coils. The country also has a network of highly qualified and trained service providers.

This implementation is reflected in the success of the last edition of the MetalExpo exhibition in Moscow, between 12 and 15 November, where Fagor Arrasate met with the country´s most important companies in the sector.
