Fagor Arrasate involved in the project ADVANCRTM (Development of automotive market fitted, CRTM manufacturing process)

The 31st of May of 2016, colleagues of FAGOR ARRASATE and MONDRAGON UNIBERTSITATEA attended, in Mils, (Austria) to the “Kick off meeting” of a research project that will be developed in collaboration with other European companies.

The goal of the project ADVANCRTM (Development of automotive market fitted, CRTM manufacturing process) will be to develop CRTM (Compression Resin Transfer Molding) process that will allow manufacturing, competitively, of automotive carbon fiber structural parts.


FAGOR ARRASATE and MONDRAGON UNIBERTSITATEA´s function in this project will be to collaborate in the process characterization and in the development of the most suitable forming and press concept.
Consortium partners will be:


ALPEX(Austria): Automotive RTM molds manufacturer.
ROCTOOL(France): Curing Induction equipment supplier.
FHMW(Switzerland): University specialized in RTM processes.
RIBA(Italy): Automotive carbon fiber parts manufacturer.


In the Project, although not officially, will also participate actively the Italian car maker MASSERATI.
The Project will be 3 years long, it has EUROSTAR label and will be helped by means of CDTI with Spanish funds.
