FAGOR ARRASATE IS AWARDED WITH AN ORDER TO SUPPLY A NEW SERVOBLANKING LINE ABLE TO PROCESS STEEL AND ALUMINUM IN SPAIN

ARCELORMITTAL GONVARRI SSC in Slovakia has awarded Fagor Arrasate with the order for its new servoblanking line that will be installed at its facility in the city of Senica. It is a servocutting line with servopress to cut blanks of complex shapes in high strength steel up to 1200 MPa and aluminum up to 550 MPa. It is really a very advanced line able to work at high speed as the line runs at 120 m/min and the servopress is reaching 90 spm. The strip to be processed has a width of 2100 mm and a maximum thickness in steel of 3 mm while in aluminum it is 2.5 mm. It is easily understood the high flexibility and high performance of the new servoblanking line as it is able to process several materials  always at high speed. The entry coils can have a big diameter as the weight can reach 32 ton and the much lower density of the aluminum. The cut blanks can be as long as 4 meters. The servopress has a capacity of 8000 KN and a size of the bolster of 4800 x 2500 mm. it includes all the necessary device to assure the quick change of tools.

Also, and due to the fact that the aluminum is not magnetic, the servoblanking line is equipped with a vacuum stacker running in start/stop mode with special features.
