FAGOR ARRASATE IS CHOSEN TO SUPPLY A REVERSIBLE ROLLING MILL

German Company C.D.Wälzholz has ordered a reversible cold rolling mill  from Fagor Arrasate. This new mill will process material SAE 1008 and SAE1095 among others in widths up to 650 mm and able to reduce the thickness from 10 mm to 0.3 mm in several passes. It is a four high mill with working rolls of 260 mm and back up rolls of 850 mm and it will run at 600 m/min of speed. The power of the mail motor of the mill is 1200 KW. Among other devices, the installation includes AGC control, isotopic thicknesss measurement, Mae-West system and advanced cooling system.

The installation also includes a decoiler and entry area for the first pass and two powerful recoilers to mill the strip between them. The control is fully computerized and uses the most advanced milling models.
