Fagor Arrasate event: Fagor Arrasate is contributing its knowledge on 4.0 to the european Mantis project on proactive maintenance

Fagor Arrasate has contributed its expertise and knowledge on 4.0 proactive industrial maintenance to the European Mantis project, which has included its conclusions in a book.
The Mantis initiative was led by the University of Mondragon with a participation of 47 European companies, 6 of them from the Corporation: Fagor Arrasate, Koniker, MSI, Ikerlan, the Mondragon Corporate Centre and the Higher Polytechnic school itself.
As one of the global benchmarks in proactive maintenance, Fagor Arrasate has actively participated in the European project. Its commitment to the development of 4.0 technologies for the remote monitoring of installations and equipment involves a qualitative jump in the management of the useful life of industrial assets, from a reactive to proactive approach. Its advanced monitoring platform, FA Link MAP, makes detailed information of the operation of all machinery and OEE indicators available to the customer in real-time. The parameters are measured continuously which provides a constant picture of the status of the machinery, instead of a snapshot at a specific moment, which allows the source of problems to be known and the improvement aspects to be identified in order to be able to act.
The book published by the Mantis project highlights the conceptual ideas relating to proactive maintenance, the implementation of some cases of use and the direct and indirect financial impact on industrial companies.
Time is a critical factor in maintenance, and for this reason, the project has focused on how to monitor, analyse and display data of equipment or assets with the aim of anticipating any possible fault, preventing damage and saving costs.
