This new eco-designed and controlled cushion ensures lower environmental impact and greater efficiency
In the recent Congress of Machine Tool and Manufacturing technology held in Donostia-San Sebastian on 10 to 12 June, FAGOR ARRASATE has given a lecture in which he has presented a newly developed servo-powered cushion and which can also get more advanced features and very important energy optimizations. This new cushion architecture applies both; mechanical/servo-mechanical and hydraulic presses and allows synchronization with the main drive of the press through intelligent control, thus being able to complete the desired work sequence.
With the current configuration of hydraulic cushion is very difficult to manage any energy optimization. On the contrary, servo technology allow to interact energetically with the main drive of the press, so the energy flow regenerated between the two devices impacts positively on the overall consumption of the machine.
This new eco-designed and controlled cushion ensures lower environmental impact and greater efficiency (oil removal and reduction of energy consumption) to equal or better performance than the conventional hydraulic cushion.
