Fagor Arrasate will install a great transfer press

Chinese car maker GREAT WALL has recently awarded with an important order to FAGOR ARRASATE to supply a transfer press  with 2500 tons of capacity and bolster of 5100 x 2300 mm. This new press will have a stroke of 900 mm and the Shut Height will be 1300 mm.
The press will be able to run from 10 to 25 spm. The press is link drive with a complex mechanism of 6 links. This is a heavy machine with more than 700 tons of total weight.
The main motor will be of 700 kw. It will have a hydraulic clutch and brake and there are moving bolster for the quick change of dies, running front to back.

There is a destaker at the beginning of the installation to handle blanks of 1850 x 850 mm and thickness from 0.6 to 2.5 mm and bundle’s weight of 5 ton. The FAGOR electronic transfer will have a programmable pitch up to 1300 mm and a lifting motion of 300 mm. It is a powerful mechanism able to handle loads of 200 kg.
