Designed and built by FAGOR HOTTEKNIK for company TQM-Tianjin Motor Dies in China
It has been just commissioned a new press hardening cell designed and built by FAGOR HOTTEKNIK for company TQM-Tianjin Motor Dies in China. As it is well known press hardening technology allows manufacturing steel much high strength automotive parts, therefore the thickness of the material and the weight of the car body can be reduces resulting in a lower consumption of gas. A press hardening installation includes a furnace, a blank destacker, a hydraulic press, a special quenching die and manipulation robots. Our engineering department creates a full turn key system.
In this particular case, the hydraulic press has a capacity of 10.000 KN and a bolster’s dimensions of 3000 x 2200 mm. It also has a hydraulic cushion of 1000 KN in the base to be able to manufacture very complicated parts. In order tor reduce idle times, the press has two T track moving bolsters. Loading and unloading from furnace is made by robots, in this case from KUKA.
