German Press writes about the commissioning of a 2400 ton FAGOR press in Volkswagen

Fagor Arrasate has recently installed a big transfer press  with a capacity of 2400 ton in the facility that giant automotive maker Volkswagen  has in the city of Baunatal, near Kassel. This press has a bolster dimensions of 5500 x 1100 mm while the strokes 500 mm. The machine is highly productive and it is able to manufacture up to 30 parts per minute. The power of the main motor is 500 kw. The erection and commissioning of the press has been carried out in a very short time and with great success in spite the big size of the machines and its heavy weight of 650 ton.
