NEW BLANKING LINE FROM FAGOR ARRASATE IN GENERAL MOTORS

Fagor Arrasate has installed a new advanced press blanking line in the facility of SGM SHANGHAI GM (SHENYANG) NORSOM MOTORS COMPANY. The new installation is able to process steel coils up to 2000 mm in width and thickness range from 0.4 mm to 2.8 . The coils can weigh up to 20 ton. The cut blanks, shaped, can have a maximum length of 4000 mm. The processing speed is 100 m/min. The line includes an uncoiler, peeler, double feeding rolls, high performance leveler, loop, cyclical feeding rolls, tail processor, press, swinging shear, frontal electromagnetic stacker and side stacker.

The new blanking line at General Motors guarantees a high cutting speed.

The press itself has a capacity of 8000 KN and bolster’s dimensions of 4700 x 2600 mm. It has counterbalancers, full integrated safety systems and moving bolsters for the quick change of die. The stroke is 400 mm and the Slide Adjustment reaches 250 mm. Shut Height is 1250 mm. It can run up to 60 spm.
