The first Servomechanical Press for Hot Stamping is already in operation
FAGOR ARRASATE’s YouTube channel now has yet another video of our installations: the first ever Servomechanical Hot Stamping installation. Until today, Hydraulic Presses have been standard technology for Hot Stamping. Servomechanical Presses have recently entered the terrain dominated exclusively by hydraulic presses. Why? There are three good reasons why Servo Technology has emerged in Hot Stamping processes: Improved Energy Efficiency, Cycle Time and Reliability. The die manufacturer BATZ S. Coop., located in Igorre (Biscay), required a Servomechanical Press to use in setting up dies and the pre-series production of hot stamped parts. It ordered a 15,000 kN Servomechanical press for hot forming from FAGOR ARRASATE. The installation includes a Multilevel Furnace and an Automatic Feeder System with a table measuring 3.6 by 2.5 m. This installation is currently operational and will be used for both die testing and pre-series production.
