ORDER FROM ELECTROLUX ABOUT A LINE TO MANUFACTURE REFRIGERATORS

The important Swedish manufacturer of Home Appliances  has awarded FAGOR ARRASATE with a new order for a complete automatic manufacturing system  to make parts for its new freezers that will be marketed in Asian markets. The line will work with prepainted galvanized cold rolled steel of 0.4 mm in thickness. As they are parts classified of “A” type, the surface of them has to be immaculate and the manufacturing line has to take in account this request.

The line is flexible and has a cycle time of 15 seconds for each refrigerator cabinet. It is able to manufacture several models of parts for the refrigerators ranging from 210 liters of capacity to 350 liters. Moreover, the line is set up for a new model with no human intervention and within the working cycle, therefore all the idle times between batches are eliminated. Also, the installation adapts itself to manufacture new models just programming them into the computer.

FAGOR ARRASATE will participate as well in the engineering of the parts in a concurrent engineering process together with engineers from Electrolux.
