ThyssenKrupp Stainless USA, of Mobile, Alabama awarded FAGOR ARRASATE, based in Mondragón , Spain,

a contract to construct six cut-to-length, slitting lines and combilines for processing  stainless steel which will configure the core of the finishing area of the stainless steel processing facility planned for Calvert, AL. ThyssenKrupp’s new state-of-the-art plant, which will process stainless steel for high value applications, is scheduled to begin operations in 2010.

The lines will be able to process high quality surface stainless steel up from 0.3 to 10 mm. They include all kind of equipment for quick processing (as rotary shears), quick change and presetting (as turnstiles for quick change), high care of the surface (as vacuum stackers) and a powerful control that integrates level 1, 2 and 3 with full monitoring, telediagnosis, production control, coil tracking and many other features."
