FAGOR ARRASATE AWARDED SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR BY GKN AUTOMOTIVE IN THE CAPITAL INVESTMENT CATEGORY

During the awards event, which brought together 300 suppliers online on October 6, GKN Automotive highlighted how Fagor Arrasate was able to overcome the challenge of delivering a forging press with special features in a very short time.

“A GKN manufacturing team was faced with a challenge: to have a new press with several extended features in a very short period of time. Fagor partnered with our manufacturing team and was able to quickly develop an optimal solution with a strong commitment to deliver it within the short project timeline,” company officials explained during the event.

“Despite several pandemic-related challenges, they supported our overall business requirements,” they highlighted during the event, thanking Fagor Arrasate for their collaboration and involvement in supporting GKN Automotive’s long-term strategic goals. “A truly global company with state-of-the-art production facilities located all over the world,” they highlighted.

The head of Fagor Arrasate’s forging sector, Iker Bastida, who participated in the ceremony through a video message, highlighted the “great honor” of the award given by a “top level” customer such as GKN Automotive for what it implies in terms of recognition “for our quality, our service and a job well done”.

Iker Bastida also pointed out that the award highlights the “fruitful collaboration of decades” between the two companies, in which numerous developments and projects “of the highest excellence” have been brought to fruition. “GKN is the kind of customer that makes us believe that our efforts as engineers really pay off. We look forward to continuing to collaborate on future projects,” he concluded.
