FAGOR ARRASATE EXHIBITED ITS SOLUTIONS IN THE FIELD OF CUTTING AND INTELLIGENT STAMPING AT THE BLECHEXPO IN STUTTGART

Blechexpo Messe, the trade fair held in Stuttgart from October 26 to 29, has been a great success for FAGOR ARRASATE, with a level of attendance that exceeded the expectations and many quality visits of key customers. The company presented some of the latest developments in stamping and blanking lines equipped with the most advanced automation systems.

FAGOR ARRASATE exhibited the latest developments for the automotive sector, introducing its state-of-the-art Transfer Presses over 30.000 kN; a fully automated and cost-effective solution especially suited to manufacture a wide range of chassis and reinforcements parts in highly resistant materials (tailored blanks, HSS or UHSS), as well as in different thicknesses. The highlight was put in its technological capacity to successfully design, manufacture and deliver large, robust and reliable structures capable of withstanding the extraordinary forces and high levels of stress that the stamping process requires.

In addition, FAGOR ARRASATE also presented its engineering capacity to deliver 100% in-house stamping solutions which includes not only the press but also the automation systems such as transfers, pick-up destackers or stackers; the elements which allow to achieve higher production rates, to be more efficient and to optimize their customers´ production.

The company also showed its latest developments in laser cutting, a technology aimed at automotive manufacturers and service centers to increase their productivity and improve the flexibility of their production. FAGOR ARRASATE’s Laser Blanking lines provide maximum flexibility to its customers, without geometrical and material characteristics constraints, even for high strength materials.

This technology, which needs no cutting dies, offers fast production change over just by selecting the new cutting program that is prepared offline, avoiding down times. The blank quality is guaranteed thanks to a superior levelling, edge deviation correction system for high quality unions and accurate dimensional tolerances. All this together with the nesting software builds a turn key solution that enables up to 35 blanks/min throughput, with a considerable scrap reduction. The development of the laser cutting blanking line is of great importance for FAGOR ARRASATE because it allows it to establish itself as a world reference in the niche of blanking lines.

Regarding its Industy 4.0 solutions, FAGOR ARRASATE displayed its latest digital technologies at Blechexpo Messe. The firm commitment of FAGOR ARRASATE to Industry 4.0 results from continuous investments in new technologies that improve the competitiveness of the equipment. This ranges from innovation in the fields of energy efficiency, improvement of productivity and the development of smart installations and platforms with value-added services, as well as products and processes for the treatment of new materials. This time FAGOR ARRASATE brought to the show the Digital Twin of an existing 2000 tons press to show the different applications of the model in training, maintenance or commissioning.

To round off the fair experience, the company presented some of the most significant projects completed for the industry in Germany and all over Europe, including imposing transfer presses of more than 30.000 kN capable of working with the toughest materials, press hardening lines, turnkey lines for composites forming and blanking lines with stacking solutions for steel and aluminum. In addition, FAGOR ARRASATE conducted daily demonstrations of its Digital Twin, its 24/7 connectivity solution to increase customer´s Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
