Fagor Arrasate event: Fagor Arrasate receives a visit from the members of the CREMA European project.

Fagor Arrasate was visited by the members of the CREMA European project in which project is participating since January of this year. Taking advantage of the second project meeting was held in the Basque Country, the consortium members visited Fagor Arrasate’s facilities where it is located one of the demonstrator of the project. The meeting was attended by representatives of various companies, research institutes and universities from four European countries.

CREMA (Elastic Cloud-based Rapid Manufacturing) is funded by Horizon 2020, the EU program to support R&D activities. The CREMA project has a budget of over 5 million euros and it lasts three years. It is part of the 'Factories of the Future' initiative, dedicated to the development of high value-added technologies for so-called factories of the future.

CREMA seeks to develop a cloud hosted platform in order to provide to the presses an intelligent maintenance process. This process, based on the management and coordination of suppliers, technicians and client machines, aims to reduce unwanted downtime machine, reducing intervention time and providing to machines an intelligent service that will increase the productivity and the availability.

Fagor Arrasate will host in June 2017 one of the most important meetings of the project because it will be the coming-out of one of the demonstrator to be performed in the project.
