FAGOR ARRASATE SUPPLIES AN R&D FACILITY FOR COMPOSITES TO A SPANISH TIER-1

FAGOR ARRASATE has closed a deal with a TIER1 in the automotive sector to supply a complete cell to work with several composite technologies. In addition to the 15,000 kN press, the cell consists of an infrared oven, an injector for thermosetting resins, as well as an injector for thermoplastics or other materials.

The cell will be used mainly for R&D projects or the production of small series and will allow experimentation with processes such as SMC, RTM, Overmolding or combining several processes to obtain hybrid parts.

The press in this cell is a 15,000 kN HCL press designed to meet the versatility requirements of the project and to obtain maximum energy efficiency.
