IFC 2011 Hyderabad

The 20th IFC, International Forging Congress, has been held from 13 through 17 of November which, in this occasion, has been organized in Hyderabad (India) by the AIFI Association of Indian Forging Industry.

The 20th IFC, International Forging Congress, has been held from 13 through 17 of November which, in this occasion, has been organized in Hyderabad (India) by the AIFI Association of Indian Forging Industry.

The opening was on the 13th,the technical days on 14thand 15thand visits to different forging plants in India on 16thand 17th.The organizing body, for such a purpose, has organized 6 different tours, including the visit to a total of 26 forging plants in different locations of India.

Over 1000 delegates from about twenty countries in the world were in attendance at the congress.

The opening was organized by the local authorities, as well as the current President of EUROFORGE, the Spanish Mr. Jose Yudego from CIE Automotive. The presence of Mr. Baba N. Kalyani, Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Forge, the most important forging group in the world, should also be specially note worthy among those people attending.

Fagor Arrasate has taken part with the exhibition of a stand, where the last development in forging, specially the automatic warm forging press of 1600, as well as the last development in servo-technology for the world of presses have been introduced. Many participants have also been interested in the last line installed in GKN India, which has been recently opened.
