VOLKSWAGEN ORDERS A SERVOBLANKING PRESS FROM FAGOR

German Car maker VOLKSWAGEN has ordered a servoblanking press from FAGOR ARRASATE

Fagor Arrasate event: VOLKSWAGEN ORDERS A SERVOBLANKING PRESS FROM FAGOR

German Car maker VOLKSWAGEN has ordered a servoblanking press from FAGOR ARRASATE to be installed at its factory in Kassel, Germany. The new servopress will have a capacity of 8000 KN and the size of the bolster will be 4700 x 2500 mm. This big machine will be able to supply an energy of 120 KJ and its stroke will be 180 mm. Servopresses are specially useful in blanking processes as they allow the line to be significantly faster than with conventional machines. This improves dramatically the production ratio and the investment has a much better ROI. Servoblanking presses  are based on flexible controlled motor and don’t need clutch and brake or flywheel. This reduces the maintenance, improves the life of the machine and the dies, allows faster operation and assures total flexibility as the path of the slide can be fully controlled and programmable.

FAGOR ARRASATE is now one of the top leaders in servoblanking presses and currently manufacturing several of those for major customers all over the world.

This servoblanking press will have 2 moving bolsters for the quick change of dies that can be very heavy, up to 40 tons. The machine will be running next Summer.
