The line designed and manufactured by Fagor Arrasate consists of a 30,000 kN HCL Short Stroke (Hydraulic Composite Lightweight) press, an SMC decoiler and a press loading robot.
The HCL press is characterized by lower energy consumption than a conventional press, as well as a reduction in height of up to 40% compared to a conventional press of the same tonnage and dimensional characteristics, while maintaining its robustness.
A special feature of this installation is that the hydraulic unit is located in the pit, as these presses do not have a head. However, the hydraulic unit could also be located on a platform, or at ground level, depending on the characteristics of the space where it will be installed.
